Starting from the Rasuwa district, this trek takes you to the sacred Gosaikunda Lake and the stunning Langtang Valley, offering a unique mix of high-altitude lakes, glacial landscapes, lush forests, and traditional Tamang villages.

This 12–14-day trek requires careful planning, acclimatization, and flexibility. It is strongly recommended to undertake this journey with a reputable trekking agency to ensure safety and an enjoyable experience. With significant altitude gains and the potential for altitude sickness, this trek demands a moderate to high level of physical fitness. Highlights include serene views of Gosainkunda Lake, the enchanting Langtang Valley, and visits to Kyanjin Gompa and other cultural landmarks. Itinerary

Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. Explore Thamel and acclimatize.

Visit the Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, or other Kathmandu Valley sites. Important: Acclimatization is key.

Drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot, an acclimatization stops with beautiful Himalayan views.  Begin the trek to a tea house near the start of the Gosainkunda trail.

Trek to Gosainkunda, a significant elevation gain. Enjoy the scenery. Overnight stay at a tea house near the lake.

Spend the day at the lake, enjoying the spiritual atmosphere and views. Acclimatization is key.  Consider a short hike around the lake.

Trek back to a lower elevation tea house and then down to Nagarkot.

Transfer to Syabrubesi (approx. 6-7 hours drive), the starting point of the Langtang trek. Then, check into your tea house. Acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the scenic drive.

Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel or a similar accommodation near the Langtang Valley (approx. 4-6 hours). The trail will offer stunning views of the Himalayas.  Note:  This is an important acclimatization day.

Trek further into the Langtang Valley, with stunning views and potential for wildlife encounters. Overnight stay in or near Kyanjin Gompa.

Trek through the valley. Spend the night in Langtang Village.

A trek that may take you to various points in the valley and back to your earlier overnight stop, or even back to Syabrubesi if that's a more suitable location.

Trek from your Langtang Valley accommodation to Syabrubesi.

Trek down from Syabrubesi to the transport point for your return to Kathmandu, potentially to a nearby village with transport options. Farewell dinner & overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Enjoy a final Nepali breakfast and transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) for your departure.
